A friend of mine has been having bloating in her stomach. Her doctor asked her to follow the gas prevention diet, as described here:

However bread and grains do not seem to bother her, but some vegetable meals seem to. She says this is probably due to "fiber" but wouldn't bread have more fiber oz-for-oz than vegetables? Must be something else? I wonder if her stomach is damaged and having problems digesting certain nutrients.
