I think the whole 30 meal template is a great guide.
thumb sized portion of fat + palm sized portion of protein then fill the plate with non-starchy veg (or a small portion of some if you want them). Then you don't need to worry about counting.
Yes at least just get used to this lifestyle first, and the weight will come off. It is important to just eat when hungry, and stop when not.
Once you have been doing it for a while, then maybe worry about counting if you think you need to. Forget all the numbers right now![]()

It's a marathon, not a sprint.
Relax, pace yourself, learn as you go, understand you will trip sometimes but that's ok, in primal there is no perfect stereotype just you, your perspective on Primal in 12 months time will be significantly different to where you are now.
Remember it is a lifestyle, not just a diet, so be sure to include fun, positive energy, reduce stress, incorporate activity into daily life as much as possible, learn to cruise not just stop and go, you will get there, but be patient, listen to your body and don't punish yourself for not knowing everything right now.

I have to emphasize how important it is to eat enough. Even at your size, you might find yourself not losing weight if you are consistently eating too little.

Wow, you all are awesome!
I honestly thought I ate enough. I guess that's where eating real food vs junk comes in. I have lost 10 lbs just cutting out soda and sugar in my tea and coffee. But I do strive to do everything by the book (which sounds funny after I let myself get this big) so I get all crazy when I over analyze.
I appreciate all of you helping! Thank you so much!
Stop counting. Also, what were your carbs?
I had romaine for a tuna wrap with cucumber and green onion, 1/2 a grapefruit, Brussels sprouts, green beans.
Here is my day yesterday:
Breakfast:
2 eggs
2 pieces bacon
coffee no sugar or artificial sweetener
Lunch:
Romaine with tuna, 1 Tbsp mayo, chopped cucumber, green onion, parsley
Snack:
1/2 grapefruit
1/8 cup almonds (minus a few cause my 2 year old grabbed a few)
Dinner:
Chicken thigh
Brussels sprouts
green beans
