I rarely talk to people about Paleo/Primal, but, when I do, it's when they're NOT complaining about their weight or health.
You see, I don't really "do" pity. And one thing I've learned about people is that they're more open to suggestion when they're happy and stable. When they complain they only ever want pity, not to be advised.
On the rare occasion that I eat a salad, it's usually something I can heat up. Wilt a bunch of spinach in EVOO, toss in some chopped tomatoes, mushrooms, and garlic. Pour onto plate. Top with Parmesan. Wilting the spinach turns a Bad Ass amount of it into something more manageable.
In summer, tomatoes, cheese, and some sweet fruit is a great snack. Balsamic and a little evoo on that. (Strawberries soaked in Balsamic are awesome.)
