Has anyone tries shirataki rice? It's made by Miracle Noodles and is made from the same stuff as their shirataki noodles. I haven't tried that either. I'm having a hard time finding shirataki noodles, anywhere. We have an Asian market not too far away and I'll probably have to try there. I'm able to buy it on Amazon but it's not a Super Saver on shipping so it gets much more expensive.

I buy Shiritake/Konjak in the local Asian supermarket. They have gazillion varieties, and they are cheaper than anything on line, and you can just pick a box or two whenever you need it.
I prefer chopped cauliflower as a sub for rice if I wanted one. Noodles I really like in a noodle soup, but rice, I just don't like rice, and if I feel like grain, I would eat millet and buckwheat.

I agree with the cauliflower sub for rice. It's more flavorful, too.
Shirataki has tofu in it...just saying.
Edit: nevermind about the tofu! It seems different from the other noodle products.
They make a variety of shirataki with tofu in it, but I think it's for the American market. It looks more like noodles.

Yeah, the ones I buy do not have tofu. They have tofu versions as well, and seaweed version and gods know what else versions.
I find it tastes great in a stir-fry or soup. No difference whatsoever from rice noodle. And like 20 calories for a cup of noodles mostly fiber.
Oh I just call them yam noodles XD
