Anywhere that has taxation has slavery. Just because they take 50% of your earnings and not 100% doesn't mean you are free. Free people keep 100% of their labor and do not ask for permission to defend themselves or Buy a soda larger than 16 oz. You're still owned. People think forced labor is the only way to enslave people, but making labor voluntary and taxes compulsory is still enslavement.
