How much do I have to eat?

    Primal Fuel
I have been eating primal for about 6 weeks. Things are going pretty well. I have attempted this several times before and seem to make it about 6 - 8 weeks before I migrate back to my old ways. I truly believe this is the way to go and I have for years. My husband is trying very hard to adopt this way of life but I think he's really doing it for me. He doesn't have a lot of true interest. He's never been heavy so he doesn't have the same desperation that I have to get the weight off and feel good again.

My question, after reading a lot of posts that say "eat more", I am worried if I am eating enough. I know I've been told forever that you have to eat to keep your metabolism working. Is that true with the primal lifestyle? I hear a lot about IF. Once my body makes the switch to burning fat (and I have plenty of fat) I don't have an appetite. I just fixed 2 scrambled eggs and two pieces of sausage (pretty small) and I could only eat about half of it. I just barely want to eat. I do get hungry but if I stick to protein and fat I can only eat a little bit. I am eating veggies - kale, broccoli, squash, cabbage, etc. Sometimes I skip breakfast because I'm not hungry. I've lost 13 lbs in 6 weeks. (I didn't do well with my eating last week when I went out of town). I am trying not to beat myself up and keep going. I just would rather not eat if I'm not hungry but don't want to slow my progress down. Any advice?

Listen to your body. If you get hungry, eat more.

Your body does not run like a machine dependent upon a fuel source. The metabolic processes in your body do not shut down if you go hungry for a little whole. Chill and eat when you're hungry, stop worrying. If you're afraid if losing too much weight, eat something calorically dense, like a handful of nuts.
