It is now January, 2012- well it will be in two hours. Is anyone interested in buying a cow?

Yup. I have been looking at U.S. Wellness meats, but would prefer to "cow pool" (or buffalo pool) if the opportunity arose. I was in on the last one, and it really worked out well. Anyone have a preferred source?

I would consider this too, but would need to try the meat before I could commit. I have had some seriously nasty grass-fed beef.

Since you were in on the last one, maybe you can guide me through the process. I will do whatever needs to be done. I just don't know where to start.

Where are you located, Sakura Girl? I'm in Las Vegas, NV. I have found a ranch up in UT that offered pastured pork, they are delivering to Vegas in April. Christiansen Farm I'm looking for a partner to split a half pork with. According to their site, a half pork order is 65-100lb hanging weight, charged at $3.95/lb. If I can't find a partner then I will go for the 30lb CSA share, which is $160.

If anyone here in the Vegas area might be interested in splitting a pork order please let me know!
