    Cottage Cheese

Is cottage cheese ok to eat under the PB? I've searched and searched the site but I can't find a definitive answer.

I note that Mark states cottage cheese as a recommended snack in the PB book so I'm assuming he approves?

I used to eat porridge for breakfast but I've looking to wane off this in favour of something else that I can quickly grab in the morning.

My idea for breakfast would be cottage cheese with nuts/seeds and berries with a protein shake which I'd look to eat Monday to Friday, then I can have eggs at the weekend when I have more time.

    Thanks

I'll be curious to hear this, too. I'm always looking for quick sources of (good-tasting) protein which arent meat-related, and are sort of grab-and-go. Before going primal I ate lots of cottage cheese and greek yogurt, but in the past months have dropped all dairy except for ghee.

Cottage cheese is likely cool as long as your not healing a leaky gut. It is a good hit of casein so if your sensitive to that I would believe that to be the main issues

Are they shipping that far? This is just so strange for me to see. I live 30 minutes from Kalona, and not all the stores around here carry it. Good for them! It's wonderful stuff.

Cottage cheese is awesome. Great protein source, quite filling and makes an amazing ice cream blended with berries and a dash of stevia.

I have only ever been able to find low fat cottage cheese with other stuff in it, that id rather not eat, so I didn't bother.
But I guess if there is such a thing as full fat with no additives, why not?

    Huh. Weird.

Over here we have both full-fat AND low-fat with no additives. Good stuff.

So no huge insulin issues here when it comes to weight maintenance? I was under the impression that cottage cheese contained a lot of casein...
