I bought a bag of "raw" almonds today. To my dismay, they did not have the great crunch you'd expect from a truly raw almond, nor the great taste. I should have read the bag before buying, but they've been pasteurized with steam.
Is there a nutritional difference between the two?
I believe Mark did a post about "raw" Almonds at one point. Try searching the site? Basically, in the US, you can't legally sell unpasteurized almonds.
