Your doctor is placing too much emphasis on these numbers, and falsely giving you diagnosis when there might not even be a problem. He's giving you the wrong medications, and you've become another victim of the medical system. Just because you have mildly high blood sugar after eating something with sugar, does not mean that you're going to die.
I've PM'd you several things about what I'd personally do. Thyroid is necessary for utilization of sugar. The symptoms you've described before when you ate carbs all indicate stress hormones being elevated causing blood sugar roller coasters. This is common with VLC diets.
In before the inevitable low carb stone throwing and very predictable posts that put me to sleep(thanks) that this post is likely to receive. Personally, the only one person who eats low carb that I know of, who I'd care to receive a response from is Neckhammer.
Remember, you're the only one that knows how you feel and can do what's best for yourself. Don't immediately discredit something that goes against common beliefs. If you do that, you essentially believe that you cannot improve. Didn't you find paleo because it was unorthodox?
