I pretty much mean psychopaths and sociopaths, who are a significant percent of the population and do not necessarily require any abuse at all to be assholes. In an area with high population density (where I live) 4% of the population = hundreds of such lunatics in a given shopping trip.

I was talking about two consenting adults agreeing on rules and consequences. If both parties agree and no one is being coerced is it abuse? Perhaps. I am not a psychologist. I just think adults should be allowed to make their own decisions even if I do not understand them. I don't understand why anyone would want multiple spouses, or to cheat on their spouse, or to drive a Prius, but hell, this is America.

As for when they have kids, I would presume they would change up their dynamic to make it work. Much like two young married folks might f*ck on the kitchen table but would probably stop once Junior came along.

IMO, a woman who would agree to that kind of arrangement would have be developmentally retarded in some major way, and definitely a victim of serious childhood trauma. And the man is preying on her broken mental state for his benefit. I don't see how it's any different than the way pimps and porn producers prey on women who've been raped and molested.

Do they have a right to arrange their relationship that way? Er, I guess so. But they should also be forcefully sterilized and never allowed to be alone around kids.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as libertarian as they come. But looking at a clearly fucked up husband-wife or parent-child dynamic and saying, "herp derp, let them do what they want" is a major fail, and a hypocritical breach of the child's liberty.
