When I mention to people who are amazed by my weight loss and how great I look, that I've mostly given up bread, pasta and other grainy stuff, I sometimes get the "I could NEVER. I love my carbs."

I used to be sympathetic, but for some reason, I'm just not any more. Now my response is, "Yeah, and a cutter loves her razor blades."

I always feel kind of bitchy and insensitive when I say that. I know people who cut are dying inside. But people who are eating themselves to a slow death are not that different. I know that too, because I was one of them. It wasn't until I faced up to that that I was able to get a grip.
