In the middle of winter (ok, a Southern California winter, but still) my water heater broke. I had the worst, most miserable shower of my life. Those of you who enjoy cold showers and the benefits of cold thermogenesis can keep it. I want my hot water back, and I don't care if I'm a wimp.

You understand, of course, that the more you hate on this (cold thermogenesis) the more your n=1 experience will work, dooming you to an existence of cold, miserable showers and rock star looks. I predict that your next experience will be that in an attempt to shorten the duration you will give up all soaps and shampoos and to even greater dismay, have fantastic response to the way your skin and hair look and feel.

Boil kettle, pour in bathroom sink, add flannel and soap, strip wash.
Yeah, I don't do cold showers even with no hot water or heating in the house!
