Life after a type 2 diagnosis?? page

Hello fellow followers.

I have recently persuaded my doubting husband to follow me on the primal quest since he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes at the end of 2012. He has jumped in with both feet and within 3 weeks his sugar level dropped from 21.5 to 11 and his cholesterol is down from 8.5 to 4.5.

Our big questions to all you who are far ahead on the journey are:-

1. Can he expect to be able to stop taking his meds if he stays true to the path?
2. He has a lot of pain in his feet due to nerve damage - will this ever be reversed?

So much will depend on how bad the damage is. If he still has a partially functioning pancreas there is a chance he may be able to get off the meds if he is very strict.
