Gosh, again, did NOT sleep well last night. I kept falling asleep on the couch while reading so went up to bed, then was wide awake for at least an hour or so...then kept waking up during the night. It's been fairly warm here the last week and a half and I think that might be it. I couldn't get comfortable.
I bought a NutriBullet yesterday. I'm thinking of making a veggie drink today. I definitely have trouble digesting veggies, so I'm hoping this will be a good way to get some in and if I add fat to it, that should keep it from getting too quickly into the bloodstream.

[12:05 pm] Tried my first green smoothie with the NutriBullet. I made too much and couldn't drink it all. I put in about 5 small raw broccoli florets, 1 oz of spinach leaves, about a 2" section of cucumber, 1/2 small avocado (with some dark spots removed), juice of 1/2 lime, about 2" section of banana and 1/4 of a medium granny smith apple and covered that with filtered water. It was very limey, lol...way too much lime juice but the taste was still pretty good. As I said above, this quantity was way too much so didn't drink it all. I'll try it again but will definitely cut down the lime juice and even the amounts of the greens. The NutriBullet did an excellent job of pulverizing everything though. My one other attempt at a green shake was disastrous because I just tried blending it with a normal blender...left big chunks which is not my thing in a drink. Ice cream, yogurt, yes, drink, no.

Slept slightly better last night, but still not great. Made an interesting discovery yesterday. I realized that I went nearly the entire day without a protein source. And I was still satisfied and not hungry. That jus disproves my really deeply held belief that I need protein to be satisfied, lol. I had the chicken mostly because I wanted to meet my daily "minimum" requirement of protein...up to 3:30 pm, I had had less than 15 grams I think...just what was in the veggies, bacon and nuts. I almost devoured the chicken though, so I think going too low is definitely a trigger for binging on protein.

I'm too lazy to list everything today, lol. I'm down a little in weight today which was a little bit of a surprise. I also slept better last night...managed to sleep in until almost 5:00 a.m. That doesn't much anymore, so it was nice.
I've been toying with the idea of giving up coffee (and all the stuff that goes in it) and dairy, and of course the remaining poisons like the liquid splenda I eat. I've cut down all of those except the coffee. For now I think I'll work on cutting down the coffee. That'll take care of some of the poisons. If I limit my coffee to only a couple of times a week, that will help tremendously with getting rid of a lot of empty calories.
Well, okay, here's what I've had so far (not the best of breakfasts, I'll admit):
5:45 am: coffee with HWC; 1 raw coconut macaroon; 2 oz goat cheese w/thin layer of cranberries
and I think I'll have a green smoothie for lunch with a chicken thigh w/skin...we'll see. Need to do my grocery shopping after a hair appointment.

Oooh, I'm down another .2 pounds lol. I'm so happy to be moving in the right direction, that every tenth of a pound is exciting!!!
I woke up at 1:50 am this morning, wide awake. Laid in bed until 3:30 then finally just got up.
4:00 am: coffee with 2T HWC; 5 slices of thin cut bacon; 2 raw coconut macaroons.
It's 4:20 now and I'm almost finished frying up my ground beef for my lunches for the week. Later I'll walk to Starbucks then to the Farmer's Market and maybe to Walgreens. The rest of the day....rest.
8:40 am: Starbuck's Cafe Americano with a little sugar free vanilla and a little HWC--she listened to me when I said "LITTLE" for a change lol.
