Here's a blog post on my diet:Dragonfly, are you not eating any veggies at all? I think I will take your suggestion and try that. I have all the lists of the FODMAPs foods and I don't eat them. I know avocado is kind of iffy and I hadn't eaten it for a very long time, then just last week I wanted to try it and it wasn't bad--a little gurgling, but that was about it. I am almost thinking my issue is veggies. We had a salad last night with meat, homemade mayo and some sauteed kale and I was in the bathroom already at 6am with very bad diarrhea. So, something is not right. My husband thinks it's the veggies--I was thinking it was the mayo.
Then, because I am still feeling tired, I was reading about serotonin and how those of us who were really sugar/carb addicted could have depleted our serotonin. Then, when we go on a VLC diet, it can effect us more because now we're not supplying carbs for serotonin. I do have The Diet Cure book, The Schwarzbein Principle, GAPS book and Primal Body, Primal Mind. I'm just trying to figure out what to do and what to eat. I know Pebbles had some issues with NK and moods and binges, so there may be something to this. I'm not sure if maybe I should have gone LC more gradually or what--I have to read more. I didn't think my body was that messed up, but now I am feeling like it is, but it is taking a long time to figure out what to eat and exactly how to heal it and where to start. I know that grains, fruit and FODMAPs make me feel really bad and that's all I know for sure right now. I just had a small breakfast with pork sausage and two HB eggs with only a little bit of ghee added, so I just want to see what happens. I think I will stay away from any veggies for the week and see how that goes and get carbs from nuts and almond butter instead.
