The wagon burst into flames so I had to jump off before being incinerated.

That said, it's only once a week and I'm finding I just like a couple of cans
    Coors Light and that's it.

WAY better than a whole bottle of wine.....snort.

And way, WAY better than my early 20's which was a BOTTLE
of Bacardi a night.... sometimes it would even be Bacardi 151.

Oh my liver must have hated me.....

Good for you for not letting your husband buy any more rum.

I hope he's keeping up his end of the bargain.

MY husband would buy it anyway, and then give me reasons as
to why we need to cocktail. And anything goes with him:

    1.) It's Raining
2.) There are dust particles falling
    3.) It's end of quarter
    4.) I got a big bonus check
    5.) The cat needs brushing
6.) I got home an hour early
    7.) The sky is blue
    8.) We are breathing

He is a very, very EVIL MAN.

Glad to hear that ^ cuz I have a hard time getting in more fat than that too. In fact I prefer to not go over 70% cuz I don't feel very good if I do. Maybe thats too much for me since I don't have a gall bladder.

I reached 85% for about a week, but I was drinking 2 mega BPCs and felt yucky. I'm a pretty stable 75% right now and eating my calories for the most part.

Actually slept better last night and don't feel too bad this morning. Hopefully today will be a better day!
Salina13 - I'm in the Keys (totally weird and small world). Where are you? I might be able to help. Are you in the lower keys, middle keys or upper keys?

I hadn't even thought about those! I have a pound in my pantry that I plan to use to make Fat Bread for the family (ah hell, and myself. Wouldn't mind a nice grilled cheese sandwich. ). I'll add a few and see what that does to my numbers. I remember reading in the Fat Fast cookbook that they're 83% fat or something around there.

Just popping to say you might want to check this out:

Ketogenic Ratio and Weight Loss Sweet Geek

It explains the Ketogenic Ratio ie the ratio of foods that raise ketones vs. the foods that lower ketones, i.e. produce glucose.

PS: she also has a neat protein calculator based on V&P:

    Protein Calculator - SweetGeek

And if you really have time on your hands here is an alternative to the keto calculator:

Calculate Your Ideal Nutrient Intake for Weight Loss or Maintenance

NB: the last link is designed for all diets, NOT NK specific so the macros will be out slightly but I like it because it does force a minimum calorie intake

mks8500 We are in Marathon on the grassy key but heading out tomorrow morning for north florida.
We both felt alot better today and I used the organic chicken broth we found and heated it with some ghee butter in the middle of the afternoon when we were both starting to feel hungry. Then we went kayaking for a couple of hours and neither of us had any energy issues.
So I think we're past the carb flu part (knock on wood).

Hi I have been on NK for a month now and following you guys this whole time. I have been low carb paleo since jan 2011 so this not a new concept to me. I have been wondering if there would be any benefit to a carb refeed day to reset your metabolism? Any advice on this would be great!
