This carb flu crap is ROUGH! I haven't had headaches like this since I used to eat gluten!
We went over on protein today but kept in our levels for fat and carbs. The constant dull headache made it very hard to concentrate today and I wasn't very productive at work.
I really hope this lets up soon. I'm taking vacation next week and don't want to feel like crud the entire time.

We looked for bouillon last night at the two stores we have around us in the florida keys and couldn't find anything not loaded with ingredients I couldn't pronounce
    Would chicken broth work instead?
Actually slept better last night and don't feel too bad this morning. Hopefully today will be a better day!

We have had this conversation several times in this thread. To get the same amount of sodium as bouillon cubes, you would have to add a ridiculous amount of salt to your food or broth. Yes, there are garbage ingredients in the commercial bouillon, but the amt of exposure in two cubes is minimal. Most of us have found that it is worth getting rid of the carb flu symptoms.

The short answer is probably no but everyone is different so you would have to try it.

Carbs, proteins & fats are oxidised differently by the body.

Long tem low carbers will have a well developed glucose conversion pathway which means the body can oxidise protein easier than fat, hence the reason why ketosis does not occur if your protein is too high.

I believe the key to NK is low carb & low(ish) protein numbers.

This link looks at oxidisation if you can get past his ego & the way he writes:
