It's just that I am more hung up on BF than scale weight. I use a BIA monitor daily (which I know is out) then take the average of the British Army/US Army/US Navy ones every month when I measure just to get some sort of perspective. Another way is by eye (I posted a link to a group of pics on here a while back).

But I think it all depends on body type & personal perspective really. At the end of the day, if you are losing scale weight & eating the right amount of protein then you must be losing BF

PS for a female to show abs you need to have really, really low BF - its much easier for men
Yes, this works for me perfectly.

It doesn't really matter which one you use, as long as you stick with one method to see the downward trend. They all measure differently so they're all going to find different results. Consistency with one measurement is the key. They say caliper testing is the best if you can't do a Dex scan, but there again, you need to have the same person do the measurements each time for the smallest margin of error possible.
I think the consistency point is very good. I could just stick with the one I tried or grab my back and check if that fat is going down. That would make me so happy!

I remember a thread a few years back on LCF (Low Carb Friends) where we all shared our weight and jean size and it was amazing the differing weights that could, for example, wear a size 10.

Right now, I weigh 199 and am in a size 14. The last time I weighed 199 was after I had my first kid and I wore a size 18.
    This was 14 years ago.

    I'm 179 and wear a size 14. Height might also play into it...I'm 5'4".

I overate today at work. I ate my lunch as normal, but they were having a BBQ. Now normally I don't eat at these things, maybe a little bit of fruit, but today they were have Akaushi beef hot dogs and sausages and I really wanted to try them. I had 1/4th of a sausage, but took a whole hot dog. In itself none of that was bad...what WAS bad was that I was NOT hungry. I'd just had lunch 1 hour before, lol. Sheesh.

This size thing is a real bummer I'm 198 and wear a size 18 and I used to be 5'10 now probably 5'9 or so. I'd love to be back in a size 14. My goal is a size 6 but I'm thinking now I'll never get there.
