Yep, pretty darn good baker. Luckily I don't do it because I love it, I do it to make the people I love happy (special cakes for birthdays and events), so I don't miss doing it. BFF's birthday is coming up the first week of March, and I make her Tres Leche which is her favorite, but it is a take home and she eats it for breakfast, every day till it is gone, won't let anyone else in on it! She is hilarious, and skinny as a rail (literally). My husband tells everyone he has lot hundreds of pounds since we have been married, in 10 pound increments (he gains ten then loses it then gains then loses, but he is very fit).

Perhaps then I should read it before sending it on just for education purposes

Definitely. I read alot of books that are not strictly Paleo/Primal, just to add to my bank of knowledge. I would also recommend "The Schwarzbein Principle II", a book that is especially good for women who want to add carbs for optimal hormonal response.

My birthday is next week as well and my oldest daughter and I are going to the grand opening of a new Whole Foods and checking out all the samples from different vendors to celebrate. We plan on going to the casino on the 9th, so I may have a drink to celebrate as well. Nothing too major.

Well, I'm glad this is a process because I've definitely got quite a way to go, lol. I'm holding onto that weight gain after that little loss. I'm back up where I started and it's been holding for three days now. I'm going to copy my journal post here:

Well, I'm obviously doing something wrong. I'm feeling pretty good, which is the most important thing, but my energy hasn't increased much and I'm definitely NOT losing weight. I still think I'm overeating, but the appetite suppression hasn't kicked in yet and I'm feeling hungry all the time. Not exactly sure what to tweak yet, but I'll keep working on it.

    Today looks like this:

1: Coffee with butter and a little coconut milk (lite)
2: Ground beef, 1/2 avocado; iced coffee (with lite coconut milk) (lite is only because that's what I had---I have a BUNCH of
cans that I bought before "going primal")

    To come at work:

3: Chicken breast with a little artichoke pesto; broccoli florets with butter

    Later at home:

4: Probably a "shake" like yesterday. That was VERY good. Ended up using butter and flax meal.

    I may snack at work...brought a can of tuna in olive oil that I can eat if needed. I'm already feeling slightly hungry and I just ate about 40 minutes ago (beef/avocado). {{Sigh}}

So if I eat everything planned (but not the tuna) my totals will look like this:

    80 g protein (19%)
    54 g carbs (12%)
    132 g fat (69%)

    1,683 calories

252dlp, your breakfast seems a little "lite" to me, maybe do the shake in the morning?

I do a whole avocado with bacon and mayo for lunch, super yummy, not filling but it 'holds' me well, I also do a cup of tea with a mix of coconut milk and HWC with this.

Instead of chicken breast go with the thighs, juicier, fattier, more filling.

Where are your carbs coming from?

Guess I should be a guy then... lol I want a finality about things so I can move on to a new hobby...

Great point made by the blogger though. it really should be about the process, not always about reaching the final goal. If I were to all of a sudden be at goal and have the body of my dreams - I'm not sure what I'd do next... probably go for a run.
