Poor planning I guess. By dinner I had run out of protein and really wanted to see how things ended up on the monitor if protein was around 50g. Short of drinking oil I was sort of stuck. I'm hoping today is better but it's not looking like it so far. I tried my first avocado last week and I'm not a huge fan. Trying to stay away from dairy but have used HWC and Cream Cheese for the fat. I just need to find some stuff that works and so far I haven't found it. Still hungry today. It's about 4:30 and I have about 25g of protein to mess with for the rest of the day. Then I'll test again in the morning and will hopefully be above 2. :-)

Or you could make a fat bomb.

p.s. congrats on the Master's Degree!!!!
What's a fat bomb? I'm willing to try almost anything. I'm not a big fan of tea so I'd have to go buy some.

It is easier for me when DH is out of town as well. Makes no sense really, as I just make myself a big salad and whatever protein I am serving them, then add some starch for them, which I have no problem resisting.

Megan, do you like macadamia nuts?

Very easy fat calories there and the carbs are fairly negligible.

You could also find some salami that didn't have a bunch of crap
in it and spread some cream cheese on it.. I did that the other day
with a sliced banana pepper on each one (they're in a jar) and it
was delicious and not much protein at all.

Gladmorning - You have that pork ready by 6pm and I will fly there and
    help you eat it. THANKS!

I'm not worrying about buying any ketostix or any ketone meters right now. That's money that I can't justify spending right now, especially with being out of a job in the next week. I'm just going to keep eating as I have been and hopefully add some workouts soon. I just haven't been working out lately. I have zero motivation to workout right now.

Sorry, we posted at the same time and I didn't see this.

It is good in coffee too, if you have sleep issues you can do decaf.

If you go to the recipe group (the link is on the first page in the first post of this thread) there is a discussion currently on the first page called "how to get more fat for NK" you will have to copy and paste and there are 2 sites in there with some good suggestions. Then there is also a discussion currently on the second page called "fat bomb recipes" and there are 2 sites there with a recipe each. Also, I bet if you google "fat bomb recipes" you will get a slew of them.

Geo, aren't you losing with what you are doing right now? Why put the extra stress of a workout, or even worse the guilt for not working out, into the mix? Keep doing what you are doing and when you are on your "work break" you will have time and need the workout for mental health you can start then.

Megan, I add a little vanilla extract to my bulletproof coffee and its delicious. It really helps with taste as I prefer black coffee.

I'm not even sure if I am losing right now or not. I think I just lot whatever gains I may have previously had. Jeans are back to being loose again. We'll see what the scale says come Friday morning.

    Get Support
I am really hoping I can join you guys. I did really well on primal but stoped 6 months ago because it was driving my husband nuts. Well long story short I have gained 30 lbs and really need a jumpstart with very low carb and high fat. I'm excited to get started, actually started yesterday, and would love the support you guys show each other. Thanks!!!
