FYI, If you figure your macros based on the first page formula, You get 56 grams of protein, 28 grams of carb and 112 grams of fat for a total of 1344 calories.
Thanks for doing the "head work".

According to my macros, I should aim for around 36 carbs per day. My new realization? 30g of carbs effectively drops me out of ketosis. Point taken, note joted. I figured it out last night and this morning after having too many nuts and cabbage yesterday. I wanted to know and wondered and since I was so low anyway I figured no time like the present to figure it out.

Wow. that's not cool. Are you sure your protein isn't the culprit?

I am very sensitive to carbs and actually go out of ketosis at anything over 25g a day.

But my body seems to love eating very low carb, so it doesn't bother me.

I have been researching protein needs. This is what I found...

    Sedentary Adult Female 46grams
    Sedentary Adult Male 56 grams

Light exerciser .8 x weight in kg
    Moderate exerciser 1 - 1.5 x weight in kg
Heavy Daily exerciser / athlete Max 2.5 x wt. in kg

The general concensus was that We eat too much protein and the body can thrive on much less even if you exercise daily without cannibalizing muscle.
Thanks for this Pebbles, I am a daily exerciser so can now work out what I need....

I'm not totally sure, but I'm pretty sure. I had a similar amount of protein yesterday as I've had on other days (fat also) but I never got as high as 30g of carbs on other days so I'm thinking that was it.

Well done on your amazing weight loss. Have you noticed any positive results taking the gelatin yet?

This is what I try to do on the rare occasions someone notices. "Oh really? It must be my outfit." So much easier, and also, it does not set me up for that weird rebound I have, when I get recognition for losing weight, and immediately start gaining it back again.

@Rosemary- thanks for posting about the Fat Fast Cookbook. Dana writes great recipes, and I'm going to hop over and get this book tonight. I think it will be a real help.

OMG IT'S NOT A MYTH. This whole time I've been thinking "don't tell anyone you've lost weight, then it'll be cursed. " Happens every damn time.
The process is simple: Free your mind, and your ass will follow.
