    mexican food and fat

    Primal Fuel
    Hey guys,

I am a huge mexican food lover. WHich kinda sucks due to its use of grains (I do occasionally have grains, but keep it very low).

When I am cooking Regular ground beef, i usually use organic extra olive oil. IS there any fat that goes beter for more mexican styled foods? The olive oil has been fine but wonder if theres an oil i dont know about that i try to use to improve the mexican flavor.

Thanks for anyone who has any suggestions. Much appreciation.

    Joey

    Lard?

It has a higher smoke point, it's more suitable to cooking and ... I'm pretty sure it would have been the traditional fat in Mexican cuisine.

For salads and so on ... there's avocado oil.

Refined coconut oil or lard, as pjgh suggested.
