Coworker: "The chiropractor said I have a really tight hamstring and need to take a couple weeks off from running. I'm not going to, though; I'll get so fat."

Me: (So many things wrong in there) "So...why would running keep you thin? And what happens when you end up getting hurt worse and can't run for way longer than two weeks? And guess how much I run per week."

    Her: "How much?"

Me: "I dunno, but it's well under a mile per week."

Her: "Yeah, but you're a guy and ripped."

    Me: "Uh...exactly?"

    Exactly.

I'll take the rice over the calcium silicate on this one...

I think it's cherries because of clotting.
Steak, eggs, potatoes - fruits, nuts, berries and forage. Coconut milk and potent herbs and spices. Tea instead of coffee now and teeny amounts of kelp daily. Let's see how this does! Not really had dairy much, and gut seems better for it.

Cherries have Vitamin K, the blood clotting vitamin... but according to the all-knowing Wikipedia, so do avocados...

Yes, the vitamin K. Too much.

whole wheat not a processed carb?

In a discussion about Gary Taubes, a link to a very long rebuttal of his carbs are fattening theory, this was posted to show that there is no difference between carbs and processed carbs " The other problem is that refined and unrefined carbohydrates often have a similar II.* Pasta made from white and whole-grain wheat have the same II, and the same goes for white and whole-grain bread (29). * Doughnuts and cookies are on par with whole grain bread.* So post-meal insulin is not a compelling explanation for the potentially different effects of protein, unrefined carbohydrate, refined carbohydrate and sugar on body fatness.**"
In case you missed it, whole grains are NOT processed carbs. proof positive that a carb is a carb, is a carb.Is

Whole wheat is not a processed carb. Whole wheat flour is. There is a difference. Whole wheat flour is comparable with white flour, and they are essentially the same.
