I don't think I'd consider all of this stuff funny, since we're on here discussing people who have had heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, people who are on statins who bruise like crazy, etc. unless you think severe medical problems are funny.

MY DAD HAZ TEH ALZHEIMERS, ITS SO FUNNY LOL

ETA: Although my co-workers trying to convince me that a Pop-Tart without the frosting is somehow "healthy", is pretty funny when I think of it...

Didn't Bill Clinton make a big deal out of going vegetarian a while back?

ETA: Oops, that was vegan, back in August 2011. Splains a lot about how Hilary looks, because Hilary was the one prompting him to "eat healthier".

Yeah, and TBH, he doesn't look all that healthy either...

Me to my 9 year old daughter: I want to to talk to you about sugar.
Daughter: I know all about it, Mom.
Me: Well, it's not just sugar.
Daughter: I know, Mom. It's also about carbon monoxide.
    Me: You mean carbohydrates?
    Daughter: Yeah, I know, Mom.

I can only try. I'm afraid for her teen years. She already thinks she's fat, but only because the WII told her so. I wish I had gone primal before she came along, but there is no changing the past.

I think it's on a couple different cereal commercials, but I can't remember which ones. They say "people who start their day with a whole grain breakfast tend to weigh less." It's not false advertising though because they don't specify what they weigh less than.

    Less than a house
    Less than an elephant
Less than a blue whale.....see all true.

So on another forum I frequent a user started a thread about health and diet as he'd just read why we get fat by taubes.

I gave some input as did other people (don't think they're paleo/primal) and even with them and CW the general consensus was that as a society we eat too many carbs. The topic starter has now come to a conclusion about their diet:

Continue with porridge for breakfast, wholegrain bread for lunch but cut out potatoes for dinner.

Just when you think you're getting somewhere with someone (don't like to push my thoughts on food onto people but as they asked - still their loss).
