Oi, I thought. There isn't a single meal in there that doesn't contain a processed food (with "Tofurky" being the worst of them) (seriously, Tofurky is tofuckin' awful -- at least Field Roast was edible!).

The popular wisdom that "if it's vegetarian, it's healthy" drives me nutso.
Wow, you really should tell her how amazingly processed just plain tofu is. I believe I read somewhere that they use hexanes (which are carcinogenic) to wash the soymeal during one of the stages.

Friends of the family adopted a baby and (due to the lack of lactation) needed to feed him formula. They made up for it by feeding him lots of steak though. Seriously, that kid loves meat (or at least he did last time I saw him).
In all of the universe there is only one person with your exact charateristics. Just like there is only one person with everybody else's characteristics. Effectively, your uniqueness makes you pretty average.

I went and got my coffee and couldn't help but watch the people grabbing the coupons enthusiastically (as I would have three years ago). YES, the girl who's a carbivore is so freaking thin and I'm a bit pudgy from my post-athletic days =P It does not help the "heavy weights make you LEAN" image that I lift often, but have a lot of extra fat to spare -.-

Haha! I have a primal baby and I can assure you that her poo is as room-clearingly noxious now as it was when she ate grains. Primal made no difference - poo just smells bad!

From one of my "childbearing year" herbal resource books. The "low blood sugar, frequent snacking" thing is common advice for morning sickness, but my favorite bit is the example snacks:

    Preventing Morning Sickness
    * There is a strong connection between nausea in early pregnancy and low blood sugar. Maintain your blood sugar level by eating small meals frequently (even every few hours) and by eating a protein-rich snack, such as popcorn with nutritional yeast, or brown rice with miso, or bread and tahini before going to sleep.
“Falconry is not a hobby or an amusement; it is a rage. You eat and drink it, sleep it and think it. You tremble to write of it, even in recollection. It is as King James the First remarked, an extreme stirrer up of passions.” --T.H. White, The Godstone and the Blackymor

There is not enough plaster in the world to repair the amount of headdesk/headwall/headwhatever that would occur if I read that book. So much fail in one little quote!

Every stinkin' morning on the radio:
"I lost 105 pounds with Slimgenics, and so can you! Call now and mention this add and get a $50 off coupon!"

Now...Slimgenics may be a great program (I wouldn't know, never investigated), but wouldn't FREE beat something that is so freakin' expensive that they're offering fifty bucks off????
    Started 7/5/11 at 274 lbs
    Now 214 -- that's 60 lbs!
Goal 160 lbs -- last time there was in junior high!

I don't get this. I mean, there are indigenous people who chew coca leaves in the Andes. From what I understand, doing so allows them to work at altitude for longer and harder. Something about getting more oxygen into the bloodstream. I'd totally chew some coca leaves when hiking if I could.
