    I do great with white rice (nearly always in the form of sushi) after a heavy lifting session. If I weren't lifting heavy, I wouldn't eat it beyond a very occasional treat.

    I have always preferred the taste and texture of brown rice. Be it long grain, short grain or basmati. I thought brown rice was healthier and had a lower GI than white?

    glycemic index is meaningless and means nothing. brown rice nutrients are bound to phytic acid and useless. white rice is just pure starch.
    Time is passing so quickly. Right now, I feel like complaining to Einstein. Whether time is slow or fast depends on perception. Relativity theory is so romantic. And so sad.

    If white rice is ok, certain forms of Puto could be an alright dessert, though not primal.

    The value of gycaemic index is not difficult to grasp. It's an old idea that's been around for at least a couple of decades.
    F 5 ft 3. HW: 196 lbs. Primal SW (May 2011): 182 lbs (42% BF)... W June '12: 160 lbs (29% BF) (UK size 12, US size 8). GW: ~24% BF - have ditched the scales til I fit into a pair of UK size 10 bootcut jeans. Currently aligning towards 'The Perfect Health Diet' having swapped some fat for potatoes.

    You can have white rice if you wish. For me, it doesn't provide much in terms of taste and texture. I rather have tastier and sweeter carbs.
