Yes, I understand both the humor *and* the use of humor to move toward social policing.

At least that is how it was intended, as humorous.

I don't think sharing differences in how foods affect us is "social policing". I could eat two whole heads of broccoli and feel completely normal, so the gas thing doesn't happen for me, either. But it interests me that it does happen for other people. Case in point: my sis-in-law, who watches me eat broccoli and brussels sprouts jealously, because they truly do give her liftoff. Whereas she eats a ton of dairy, and anything more than a half cup of Fage gives me the tummy rumbles. Sharing differences doesn't have to have judgment implied.

it wasn't just one comment, see? And, I offered mine in humor, too. Right?

I have no problem with sharing in humor either -- most of this thread has been pretty funny. But there does come a point when folks are protesting a bit too much, eh? even with humor.

And, i can also tell the difference between sharing and what may be inferred from a continuous on-going statement about fiber-problems and how they become increasingly humorous. It turns out that I am a savvy reader on here and otherwise.

Protest? That's hilarious. Especially when I was making fun of me.

Wasn't just one comment? Continuous on-going statement about fiber-problems? Seriously?

Can tell the difference? [sarcastic] Good for you. You are amazing. [/sarcastic]

jojo, don't take things so personally. I was not responding to your post.

In fact, it wasn't one post that 'inspired' my response. It was a host of posts over time in the thread and outside the thread that lead to my post.

And, one might also read that my post was likewise *offered* in humor: satire. And likewise that *satire* is a form of social policing. Yeah?
