So I just found out a couple weeks ago my wifes pregnant. We have a good 7 months left but I wanted to start doing some planning now. She'll breast feed but I wanted some ideas for when we get our kid on food. I was thinking alot of greens and sweet potatos first then introduce the fruits later. Is there a certain amount of carbs a baby needs? Has Mark done any Forums on this?

You have plenty of time before you'll need to think about what to feed baby. Now, good things to research are: babywearing, co-sleeping, natural birth (birth center or home birth!), if you have a boy-leaving him intact, etc.

As to food: my toddler loves broccoli (he calls them trees), fresh garden tomatoes (he calls em nyu-yos) and carrots (which he opts to gobble down instead of saying). broccoli or carrots in chicken broth is always a go-to meal that he'll eat --besides pepperoni, hotdogs and salami that is.

you've got, ideally, 19 months to worry about solids! If you and wife eat primally and allow baby to nurse until he/she is ready to move on to more interesting things, you dont have much to think about,

Do not limit the amount of carbs your baby or wife eat. Yes limit the types of food but no not limit macros! Limiting carbs to a woman growing a baby or a baby is just as cruel as a vegan limiting animal foods to their baby.

Just make sure mammas eating well and is happy and be sure to breast feed for long enough (debatable, but 9 months is a minimum...we did a year minimum). You have a year to look into this but you may check on this stuff:

I'd actually start with meat and egg yolk, fruit, squash, and sweet potato.......then keep em on that for life

Yes I do not limit carbs for my children or husband. (still primal foods though)
