    farm raised salmon fish heads

I don't eat farm raised fish, but my market sell farm raised salmon fish heads that look great for stock.

I'm very hesitant but at the same time very tempted. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I actually prefer "white" fish for stock rather than oily fish. Cod, haddock, turbot, sole, skate etc bones / heads make a super fish stock.

I have to agree that I also prefer white fish for stock over oily fish. I find the stock from the white fish to be much lighter and cleaner tasting. Great base for anything!

i personally don't make stock with farmed fish, not that i've done any research and i do eat some farmed fish.
i just feel that farmed fish will come with more toxins or some stuff you might not want.instead i use the heads from wild caught fish that i buy.
also i don't get the fish monger to gut them,i do it myself and get the roes too.
