Does anyone know what the best way to make kale chips is and how long it typically lasts. I made them yesterday and despite being crispy when they came out of the oven, they wilted and became soft within 20-30 mintues. I popped them back in the oven to crisp them up- but though there has to be a better way!
Thoughts? Tips and tricks anyone?
Sounds like the temperature of your oven wasn't high enough...I typically pop them into 350 degrees for 10 minutes, and they are plenty crispy!
Thanks. How long do they typically last?
5-10 minutes, depending on how many leaves you put in and the intensity of your oven heat. When your house begins to smell a little bit of kale, camp out by the oven until the leaves are crispy, but not burnt.
I typically make them and eat them right away. I've never found them to be very good once they've cooled.
How long do they last? 5-7 minutes, depending on how quickly we can shovel them all in our mouths.
We do about 15min at 350, the chips should be standalone crispy, like they wouldn't wilt or fall over if they could balance vertically.
