I find my sugar cravings are at a high point right after I've woken up. I suspect as I become more consistent in my general elimination of sugar, I will be able to awake from sleeping and feel fine not eating for several hours.
If you are used to eat sugar food on awakening then you will wake up hungry due to the hunger hormone Grehlin! I seldom get hungry anymore before 2 PM, because I have get used to eat my first meal of the day around that time.
