    Liver in the smoothie

    Primal Fuel
    Hi guys!

I know that I have a few raw liver in the smoothie recipes, but i also know that one of you mentioned cooking and/or freezing and/or something your liver and putting it -- powder style -- into your beverage of choice.

Help a gal out. We want liver. Without having to eat liver or some such.

Other than awesome liver recipes, or something along these lines of the smoothie, are there other creative ways to get your liver?

    Thanks.

I have read that freezing is not a reliable way to eliminate parasites from liver. So I would go with cooked if possible.

As for methods, I can taste it in everything I've tried, so I'm no help there

According to several web sites, the liver has to be frozen 14 days in order to kill the parasites. that being said, I think someone did theirs biltong/jerky style, and then put it in? I don't remember.

Parasites in NZ produce just doesn't rate as a risk. Can you not eat pate?

I add chicken livers to meatloaf or meatballs. I chop them up in a food processor so they become pureed, then I just make the recipe. My family will not eat liver but they love the meatballs!

yeah, it's an option. I just thought since I have to have green juice in the AM, I could premake this liver business and put it in. I also looked up dessicated liver to see if that would be an option.

I'm not sure why you're forcing yourself to eat something you don't like? You're pretty danged fit and healthy. Maybe you could try heart if you don't like liver?
