I didn't post about forum rules and grab content from someone's site to abide by alleged forum rules. There was nothing wrong with her OP. you took it upon yourself to correct what you felt was a forum violation and I think it's petty.

And I think your post remarking on it are petty.
    See how that works?
Are the personal remarks really necessary?
I don't think so, but when you start sometimes you get it back.

Others in this thread obviously felt the same as I did about her abuse of forum rules about posting only links.
    Opinions and all.
    There are different ones.
Yours isn't really any more important or valid than mine and the others who have made remarks here.

And by posting that link she made the information available.
I simply made it more forum accessible.

So silly. Sites like chow stalker require you to click through for a recipe, I don't see what the big deal is and why someone would be so offended by it. But whatever.

I noted about the forum policy because I liked the recipe and didn't want the post to get deleted because it's not following the rules.

Yes, I was too lazy to click a few times and post the recipe here directly (thanks Cori). While I love to help fellow bloggers with page views, and I don't hide my own promotion (most of us have links to other sites in our signatures), I also don't think it's disrespectful to ask someone to follow the rules.

As for the recipe, it sounds awesome, and I will definitely try that (but with honey or maple syrup, don't like fake sweeteners) when I can eat nuts again!

    So you do agree.
    Bingo!

I think It's fair to post a pic of the food and maybe a list of the ingredients.

Then ask the readers to go to the site for the further directions for baking/cooking and that type thing if they are interested.

But to just post a name of a recipe and a linky...
    No.
That it blatant link click count spam.
And darn near worthy of the triangle of death if that's all a person posts.
There is no way of knowing if there is a decent recipe on the other end of that link of just some hack copypasta Faleo thing that is on 100 other pages.

There are dozens of forum rules violated here on a daily basis, isn't swearing against the rules?? Pretty sure I've seen someone in this thread do it often! Hypocritical.

I generally edit my swear words actually... with things like this * in the middle and misspelled.
    I suppose that still counts?
But I would not say that I do it often. Not even in my own journal.
    But occasionally I do.

Also swearing isn't something that is an automatic ban. But spamming is.
You get a warning for swearing I hear.
    Though I've never had one.

    Plus as I stated...
I was trying to make the OP more aware of the forum rules (so that she is less likely to incur someones wrath of the triangle of death).
If she comes back to this thread that is... instead of just spamming it up here then leaving off.

Waaaaay too serious about a banana cake link! Silly, silly, silly.

Anyway, hope the OP will continue to share. She obviously put a lot of effort into her recipe and blog post and I appreciate it no matter where the text is posted. That s all.

Creating a recipe, making it, taking pictures of it, transferring the pictures and then writing about it is a lot more work than it sounds like. Throw a blogger a bone! Geez.
