So much emotion in this thread. I think Zach and Derp are truly interested in helping people if some people would just put their biases and egos aside for a moment to let what they are saying penetrate. They're not trolls. Any rational person can see they really are trying to teach others something that's relevant to Primal/Paleo.
We're not all the same, exactly right. Let them have their say without attacking them as being not Primal enough, whatever that means. In the context of optimal health, I'm interested in learning all the facts and findings, not just some.

I'm not attacking them but I don't think it's right they say we wil all benefit for there way. I'm not even saying that.
Thread hijacking is not okay.
The OP has serious concerns and would like some (gentle, I assume) guidance. Sadly, I am not the person to help - I'm no expert in this field.
*but* (and there's always a but, isn't there?)
I would gently suggest reading the 101 and any other of Mark's "gospel" posts before making ANY changes or decisions. Convince your mind before forcing your body to do something.
Then, and only then.
Follow the "gospel" for at least three months. Listen to your body try to work out what is over-thinking ("eating animals is gross", or whatever led you to embrace raw veganism in the first place) and what is genuine (I do well on mainly fat /or/ lean protein /or/ equal thirds of fat/protein/carbs (with carbs coming from colourful veggies).
Then. When you have a degree of confidence and your body feels like it's on your side (and only then) return to the boards and listen to the posts/read the journals of other people who are in a similar place. Not as an echo chamber, but to get new ideas.
So - 'hey! Person X eats like me and loves how liver pate adds nutrients/energy to their diet. Perhaps I might make some liver pate next week..."
There are plenty of Food Messiahs (thanks Boodorchid!) here who try to win converts or praise foodstuff A, macro B or supplement I (for IODINE painted on your frozen genitals - sadly, I am not joking) until the cows come home or they convince a few desperate try-anything-once people.
To begin with, keep it stunningly simple: eat meat, fish, vegetables and eggs. Cook from the raw ingredients. Sometimes add dairy, fruit, nuts.
Sleep. Play. Be well.
GOOD LUCK :-)

Hi J, Stanton
Thanks for your advice.
I;m going to try a few days without the sauerkraut or cabbage just to see it that is what is causing digestive distress. If no improvements then I'll probably add it back in . At least that way I will know for sure.
Eating till satiety makes sense. I am concerned that I'll end up eating a lot, such two dozen to start with, but knowing my body that will soon tell me when it's had enough and eggs will lose their appeal.
I think I will try your suggestion of eating fruit with a meal. In the past it has always given my chronic stomach cramp but what I might try is blueberries, since my body seems to want these, with some goats yogurt and see how I get on.
I had a look at 180degrees health site and was surprised by the 'dietary advice'. Whilst I do not want to eat an unhealthy sugar and processed food diet I can also see how important is to relax about diet.
Thanks again for your advice

Hi Cantat
Thanks for adding your experiences.
I appreciate all the info and insight I can get.

Hey Peace x, No problem - happy to make suggestionsI was also veggie and transitioned to meat eating primal. Personally I had difficulty with it (I was veggie for 8 years, vegan for nearly one) but it's probably cos' I jumped right in to eating burgers..! I'm going to reiterate the point about bone broth, and how are you with dairy? I eat Yeovalley Greek Yogurt - it's got added probiotics (which is sounds like you need) and is really yum. Yum mentioned you've been craving goat milk yougurt too - there's somse UK company that does one (also with added probiotics).
YOu're getting a lot of advice and some of it's really good. I think when in doubt just avoid things which are really harsh on the stomach - ie. grains, legumes, and in your case, fruit. Be really gentle with yourself.
Do you know any other people who got sick from this WOE? A few years ago I actually met a chinese medicine doctor who told me about the dangers ofraw food veganism was - I can drop her a line and find out more.

Hi Badger Girl
Thank you for your comments.
It was not my intention to start a heated debate but to gain some insight, advice, guidance and support whilst making dietary, lifestyle and personal changes.
Listening to my body seems wise. I am lucky that I have a good feedback system with my body. The only think I need to do is stop my mind from trying to convince me that it knows best!
Thank you for asking the question, what led me to veganism and raw food initially.
For me it was always about health, vitality and abundant energy - that has not changed. It's depressing and I'm disappointed with myself that I have allowed myself to get into this state - so far from my own true self. The one true blessing that I cling on to is that I have learnt so much about myself, other people and life in general. It's been challenging and I've grown personally as a result. I'm stronger, more self assured and in a way (although I may not sound it here) a hell of a lot more confident. So the journey hasn't been wasted, especially in a personal development sense. But that is just me, always go for the learning in whatever life throws at me, be eternally optimistic and add in a dash of humour into the mix and that's me!
So I've decided to become my own lab rat. That's the only way I'm going to find out what works, for me anyway. My starting point is going to be listening to my body and see where that takes me. That is not going to be without its challenges because as mentioned above, my head likes to take control. Let the battle commence!!!
Thank you again for making me think and reconnect with what deep down I want from life.
Peace x
