Wink It was my boss this time....

So, I thought I'd share a funny story with you all.
This morning, being Earth Day, there was some small talk about hippies in the office while I was checking my mail and picking up my attendance (I'm a teacher). One of the people involved was my principal. Keep in mind, I don't know what they were talking about, but here's what happened:
Bosslady: Well, what's wrong with hippies? (to another teacher)
    Me: (quiet laugh)
Bosslady, smiling: You're a little bit of a hippie, right?
    Me: Well, I little bit...
Bosslady: You're not really the crunchy granola type though, huh?
(pause) I can't really figure out the right word for it though.
    Me: Paleolithic re-enactor?
    Bosslady: (laughs) Yeah, that works!

The funny thing is, other than some weight loss, and a few conversations about food but not diet (we've talked about the farmer's market a few times) she has no idea how I eat. She knows I consider myself gluten sensitive (when asking "why aren't you eating the muffins? they're good...") But as for me being on the paleo/primal diet? Nope. She has no reason other than knowing me to agree with what I said.

It put me in a very good mood for starting my day, and I thought I'd share since pretty much no one else I know can appreciate it.

Great quote. I'm currently re-reading the series for the tenth (or so) time.

Yeah, me too. I'm sad that Jordancon and Primalcon were the same weekend, and I couldn't afford to go to either.
