    I really feel like some bread today

    a nice piece of toast with a tonne of butter on it.... no rhyme nor reason to it, it's just fixed in my brain. Yes I know, bread is bad, lectins and all that stuff, but is it that I want bread as the delivery for fat that I am craving?? I just cant imagine wanting to eat a slab of butter.

    If you want it, eat it. It's better than craving it for weeks and then binging and beating yourself up.

    Hee hee, funny.

    Actually I was craving butter toast too today. And I can't eat it as I'm celiac. I was grumping around the kitchen just fixated on TOAST. I made myself some yummy smoked chipotle devilled eggs and I feel totally fine now.

    EDIT: I just checked it out for you and what you really need is Nitrogen and should have a high protein food such as fish, nuts, meat or beans.

    Before going Primal, I was a hardcore bread, potatoes & pasta girl... growing up in a poor Italian family I was weaned on this stuff! For me giving up the bread (and the pizza) has been the hardest. I miss it most in the mornings because I usually have eggs. I tried something a few days ago that I LOVED! I had some sprouted grain tortillas (Ezekiel 4:9) in the freezer so I took one and put it in the pan that I had just fininshed frying my bacon in and cooked the tortilla about a minute on each side and then took my eggs & bacon & veggies and made THE most devine breakfast burrito! I will probably reserve this "treat" for weekends or only once or twice a week because each tortilla has 24g of carbs but zero sugar and 5g of protein.

    ^ I'm confused, do you eat these because of what it says in the Bible? 24g of carbs is a hell of a lot..

    Thanks for this, interesting. I did actually have a few nuts and dried cranberries (a small handful) and I got past it. Interesting reading about what I need if I am having alcohol cravings... blah, I dont think I'll be having any of that, just give me a glass of sauvignon!
