    Question Raw milk dangers?

Is anyone worried about the latest news on the dangers of dirty raw milk and E.coli?

We buy ours locally, including the cream. It tastes so good and yet I can't help but be influenced just a little and worry. Perhaps I am just looking for encouragement that it's ok. Is anyone boiling their raw milk cause of these news? http://www.upi.com/Science_News/2010...3881269873559/

I started this thread a little while ago:

The farm that I buy the milk from was allegedly found to be selling tainted milk. But I'd been boiling my milk anyway as that's what we do in India (where I'm from) with raw milk. And since I'm pregnant and DH was super-concerned about my drinking unpasteurized milk, I would boil it to pacify him.

Oh I hadn't seen your post. But thank you for sharing and for reiterating that yes we should boil it. How long should we boil it for? and what are your thoughts on raw cream? Thank you!

Not at all concerned. Most of the media put out on raw milk is pushed forward by the dairy industry to make people buy pasteurized/homogenized crap. This link summarized it IMO

    Hi EGYnutrition,

What a great link, thank you. I just picked up a gallon yesterday along with 2 quarts of cream, and we're going to enjoy every drop. Great article! Thanks for sharing.

My bad if I came off harsh. I just don't like lies. Especially when it's about our food. Glad the link helped! Enjoy the raw dairy!

I hear more scare tactics about hamburger in the media than raw milk, so pick your poison I suppose. I am not stopping.

Not even a little bit worried! Raw milk is cleaner (CFU/mL) than CW milk any day! I also know my farmer. I also know when raw milk goes bad... you know it.

    I'm not worried either.
