You should avoid white potatoes and rice, at least until you are a fat burner. I eat some of both because I am a stubborn ole coot.
Dairy is ok if it doesn't cause problems for you. Some find that it slows or stops fat loss. I eat lots of cheese, put cream in my coffee, use massive amounts of sour cream and butter, and frequently drink milk, but, again, that's because I'm stubborn, not because that much dairy is good for you. Mark says it's ok to eat butter, sour cream, hard cheese and yogurt in moderation, if you can digest it properly.
