Every time I hear the dirty word 'exercise', I wash my mouth out with chocolate.

I find that avocado do not thickens the smoothie to the degree I like it.
For green smoothies I add tomato paste (with avocado)
For fruit smoothies, I use cranberries and rhubarb.
I also always add egg white.
I have not had added almond butter, so can't comment, and my Magic Bullet could not process nuts

Yup.
Try heavy cream. 0g carb.

Frozen blueberries or heavy cream.

My favorite smoothie is frozen berries of the preferred type, coconut milk (the thick kind in the can), a raw egg or two, and some vanilla. This is so thick and creamy that you need to add some water to get it to your desired consistency.
Save some money on frozen berries by buying fresh cranberries right after the holidays. This year I got about 20 1 lb bags at 25 cents a bag. Add frozen to your smoothie for tangy flavor that can lift the flat taste at 3.8 net carbs per 1/2 cup.
Coconut flour? Prob not a lot less carb, but you get fat and protein in there too, plus fiber. Tried it the other day and it was good.
me too,Save some money on frozen berries by buying fresh cranberries right after the holidays. thank you![]()
+1 for avocado
A whole avocado in a smoothie gets pretty thick.. even better with some frozen berries
Cream and frozen berries = a nice thick ice cream![]()
