I've been there too. He had some great stuff posted, but as many of you now know, he has since retired the website.

If you are adamant on tracking down a recipe or post from SOG, I was able to do so via Google Reader. Just go to Son of Grok's subscription (through Google Reader of course) and scroll through his posts until your post is found. This worked for me and may work for you too!
