Welcome aboard!![]()
Joined the group last night and so I will start reading the book first. There are lots of good material so I will probably start slow.
It's the first time for a long time, I woke up without alarm clock and got to work before 8:30 AM.
I haven't eaten anything yet just drinking water. I usually don't have breakfast. I will read the book and see what is good since I really don't feel like eating anything until lunch.
I currently have quite a bit breakouts on my face this past 2 weeks. Hope to have it clear without using chemical.
Need to get back to work. Post more end of day.

Welcome aboard!![]()
Hey Roxy. I just started too. I made a group to try to get all the New Year's newbies together so we can all stay motivated.
Welcome. Come join.
Day #2. I just joined the New Year's newbies today.
My goal is still keeping good weight and health.
I want to increasing vitamin D level since it's related to my S.A.D issue especially living in Seattle area in the winter time.
I want to control excessive tearing of the eyes symptom caused by some type of vitamins deficiency.
I did a few good things today to log on.
1. Woke up earlier than usual.
2. Didn't have any dairy (usually it's the mocha breve).
3. Took vitamin D supplement and went for a short 5 minutes tan to increase my vitamin D level. It's currently low at 23 ng/mL.
4. Drank 32oz of water (usually I don't really drink much)
5. Yesterday I had a good amount of dance to keep my activity level up but not working out hard.
6. Had broccoli with a little bit of olive oil for breakfast (usually I don't have breakfast)
Not so good
1. At Garlic Naan and a little rice at the restaurant
2. Feeling sleepy after meal
Very likely I will have some dance practice in tonight ... not as active today compare to yesterday.

Day #3 -- This is for yesterday since I logged just reading people's comments but at the end of the day too sleepy to get online.
Workout: dance for 2 1/2 hours not too hard ... just some fast/slow dance movements mix and I wasn't tired at the end.
B: just water
L: 2 bowls of seafood soup (homemade) -- with celery homemade broth, mussels, salmon, squids, shrimp, a little bit of potatoes (couldn't resist but I didn't eat too much of it compare to usual).
S: 8oz mocha breve from Starbucks -- this is my weakness and it will take awhile to get rid off.
D: Curry Chicken at a restaurant (it has coconut milk, curry, chicken, carrot, a handful of little cubes of potatoes ... it's not bad but I didn't do well when I used the french bread to dip into it).
Overall, I did better than usually by aware of what I'm eating and I didn't eat too much carb.
I'd give myself a 65% rating for day #3 effort![]()
Day #4 -- woke up around 8:30 AM because I forgot to turn off the alarm clock, but then I didn't get out of bed until an hour later. Super sleepy today.
Workout: Dance for 2 hours -- lightweight but I sweat a bit after an hour in. I did feel a bit better after workout.
B: just water
L: 1 cup of butternut squash soup 1 1/2 banana (around noon).
S: 4oz of tuna filet with sesame seeds mix seasoning
S: 1 cup of chai tea and 1 baklava
D: butter chicken, 1 piece of garlic naan, 1 piece of birthday cake with real homemade frosting (eggs, butter & sugar), some fruit, 2 eggrolls
I felt pretty full today after dinner and felt that was overeating. I guess I ate more today than yesterday. Forgot vitamin D supplement and no tanning for vitamin D making today, so I do felt a bit blue.
Rating for today: 60%. Hope for a better tomorrow.

Day #5 -- woke up early for a conference call this morning before the alarm clock went off so it's a good start.
B: water
L: Vietnamese "Bun Bo Hue" = Very Spicy Beef Noodle soup, but I didn't eat much noodle comparing to usual -- mostly chomping down the meat
S: Ok I had to give up to my mocha breve today, 8 oz. Almost not going to get it but then the big truck cut me off before I could turn to my office, so I decided to go straight to get my coffeeGotta get some stress relieve somehow somewhere. (I know I shouldn't get it).
D: not sure yet ... but I know for sure I won't eat anything until after 9 PM tonight
Workout schedule is planned from 6:30PM-9:00PM for some Flamenco and Modern Egyptian Dances so I should be good there.
Weight is staying constant at 101.6 lbs and I have no craving for anything at this time nor feeling hungry during the day.
Some breakouts seem to going away slowly and nothing new showing up
I really like this group so far because I do like to eat real food and I have to say I'm a meat eater not a vegan. I'm Asian, so I can't have much dairy and that helped discourage me from digesting dairy products (not so good tummy ache if I have too much cheese or milk). Gotta listen to my body -- I stop feeding my body stuff that causes me discomfort.
Thanks for the welcomes and support!
For Good Health and having tasty food! Cheers!
