    Core 'em with an apple corer, stuff their centres with garlic and roast 'em!

    Boiled, cooled and marinated in vinegar, or even pickled ... or, pickled with beetroot so they change colour. Serve cold with a salad, salmon, mackerel or herrings, and lots of dill.

    I've only had them roasted, just looking for some other ideas to either try out or file away in the back of my head!
