    Just had a query about what to eat after a workout.
    Are starches necessary after sprinting? I know that through gluconeogenesis glycogen can be resynthesized, but how do carbohydrate needs vary according to goals?
    Could have swrn that I heard from a modern-rubbish-food-eater that not having carbsohydrate ruins the thryroid gland :s

    Necessary is a weird word. Depends on what version of primal you have coerced to do in your mind...

    I say carbohydrate is fine post-workout. Whatever your normal carbohydrate intake is during the average meal, just double it post workout. So if you normally have a cup of berries, maybe have an apple, or banana...
