We'll need to "get rid" of the vast majority of the world's population before we can do that.

and probably considerably decrease the amount of meat we currently consume (not us primals, since we eat less than most as it is, but Americans in general)

First step: no more fast food.

PS: I'd absolutely be down with eating half the meat I currently eat if it meant the end of factory farming.

Well, if we stop eating so many grains, we'll have more room for the animals to roam around and eat grass.

I saw Pantera 6 times, by the way.

Yeah, it would be awesome if we could aspire to that, wouldn't it? The thing is that even if we stop eating all grains there won't be enough available land to raise enough grass-fed animals to feed the world. Grains are much more efficient than animals on a calorie / acre basis. Think about it, most of the calories that animals eat are spent by them, not saved in their body tissues to be eaten by their predators.

And GMO grains + fertilizers are even more efficient (and are part of the reason why the "maximum sustainable population" figure has been rising constantly for the past century or so).

    Kudos on seeing Pantera.

Enough is enough... I am finding me a local farm this weekend.

For those of you who live close to Grand Rapids, MI... do you know of any farms?
    Find me at aToadontheRoad.com. Cheers!
