Make sure you wash them so there's less risk of getting salmonella. Why can't you make a batch of eggs and refrigerate them for easier access in the AM? Raw eggs are slimy and not too palatable for me.
Its basically to save time in the mornings. Since I'm working out I'll be taking protein shakes in the morning, they are pretty nutritionally devoid so they need something extra. Eggs are amazing but if I don't have to cook/blend them its even better.
As far as I'm aware the only downside to eating raw eggs is that the protein is less bioavailable, but I'm not that bothered about the protein. I want it for the fats, cholesterol, etc I may be wrong though.
Is there any downsides to eating eggs raw apart from protein bioavailability?

Egg nog! Throw em in some cream or milk and turn on a hand/stick blender. Add a tiny bit of sweetener and spices and y'got it.

I don't think you are supposed to eat the whites raw.
I think it was a blog post by Masterjohn that talks about this. He eats his eggs standing over the trash can, throwing out the whites and slurping up the yolks, or something like that. I'm sure that's nutritious, but not something I would do.
Avidin binds to biotin and could be an issue. The avidin is in the raw egg white....
So maybe just shoot the yolks raw and keep the whites for something else.

I like the taste of raw egg yolks straight or I use them in a smoothie or in homemade mayo. All good for me! I don't care for the whites raw anyhow though.

I have been eating raw eggs for many, many years, whole eggs, white only, and also yolk only. Everything goes, and my health is very good! I also eat cooked eggs, sometimes a lot of them, so don't worry; eggs are exellent food raw or cooked...
What about hard-boiled? You could probably even peel and season them ahead of time so you wouldn't have to do a thing in the morning except grab and eat. It would probably take less time than trying to eat it raw without making a mess.
I make a smoothie using raw yolks (from local pastured chickens) and cooked whites (because raw whites interfere with nutrient absorption). But that is more elaborate than what you are looking for.

It takes more time ultimately and I can down raw eggs fine. Its not for pleasure this, just function. Thanks guys, I may just look into eating the egg yolk since that is where most of the nutrition lies and its more palatable than eating the egg whites (which is like snot).
