    Primal Fuel
Everyone's body is different. Just transitioning over to primal, I lost my appetite. My hunger signals got all confused, and I had to really work to figure it out. The CO really kills my appetite. Like, for 6-8 hours sometimes. Some folks it only kills it for 4. Just depends.
The process is simple: Free your mind, and your ass will follow.

Well, *I* have been a big fat loser the last three days - first I was raped by milky way midnights, and
then yesterday, after an 8 mile hike straight up and straight down, I felt entitled to a bottle of wine
and then, the horror, CHINESE FOOD.

So I guess I'm just going to have to go with yesterday's weight of 123.0 for my first month of
    Shangri-La and very low carb.

It's still a great loss from 128.8 to 123.0 = 5.8lbs, but it would have been MORE if I kept my head
in the game and really hunkered down and kept my eye on the prize.

However, my libran mind has justified it in thinking that I'm trying to get to my goal by
summer, and that it's okay to stick in one spot for a bit, and I HAVE been lifting weights and
walking up to 10 miles a day, so, so, so, so,

SO THERE, I'VE JUSTIFIED MY INDISCRETIONS

    like I always do.... ahem

I just get frustrated so easily. I am struggling to net below 1700 calories as a weekly average. And the scale hasn't budged in a week now!

i heare you, unchatenfrance, and my thought is that if you are closer to your goal weight, your body does not have as much fat to draw on. maybe that means it wants you to eat more than 800 cals, because it cant make up the extra 800 with your own body stores? i have AS, but i still seem to need 1800-2000 cals per day. and FWIW, i havent lost weight yet - and its been 6 weeks.

Abs - how do you get in 10 miles of walking a day? I wish I could do that... even when I get to walk to the hospital that is only 4 roundtrip... and that seems like a lot

    Lucky you!

Well, when it doesn't involve Stupid Shit, it's usually
    around 20 grams of carbs.

Or, if I have a run in with some sugar snap peas, it could go
up, but I don't really care because, well, no one ever got
fat on sugar snap pea carbs. HAR!

But yeah, usually 20g or less.. sometimes only 5g.

Well, I walk back and forth to school with my kids twice a day (drop off and pick up),
and then I take an hour walk every day as well.

THEN if I get a call from my part time dog walking job, that could be another 1.5hr
walk, and depending on how FREAKING CRAZY he is, determines how FAST I'll be
walking, and it adds up fast.

I'm taking him out today for 1.5 hours and that could be 6 miles just right there if
he's focused and doesn't do a lot of stupid sniffing.

I also take a few "neighborhood walks" with my kids, maybe three a day, and our loop
    is one mile.

    So there you go!

    Julie

p.s. i'm a stay at home mom, so i have lots of time
to do whatever i want, WHENever I want. if i worked,
it would be a whole nuther story....

p.s.s. also, walking makes me REALLY happy, like, stupidly
happy. I don't know why, but if I'm having a shit ass day, or
I'm super cranky, I'll go do a neighborhood walk and come back
another person. Swear it. Even my husband says to me, when
i'm being a bitch "wow, um, you should go take a walk!". So I
do. Yanno, after punching him in the crotch...

My cals have averaged out to be about 1600 a day and that is
super perplexing, cuz when I was doing higher carb, I couldn't go
over 1200 without just maintaining my weight.

    Whack.

BUT, that said, I'm going to strive to go to 1300 this next 30 days and
    see what happens.
