Does the scent of food during flavorless windows interfere? I sit by the kitchen at work, unfortunately and there are food smells and the scent of coffee wafting by all day. I am worried it interferes.

KT - I don't think it interferes at all.

If you're not ingesting anything for the oil to correlate with, no harm at all.

AS FOR THE REST OF YOU:

Where the fresh hell did everyone go?

    All still on vacation?

What *I'M* thinking is that y'all are on RESTRICTION and GROUNDED.

    Scared? Good.

Welp, I guess I'll talk about me, me, me, me, me (what else is new?).

Okay, first off, LadyTime NEVER CAME, until it did on CD40.

No wonder I was such a bitch for days on end. Damn hormones. Fricking get
    with the program already.

In all honesty, I think "lowering my set point" was messing with the delivery of
    Red Death.

Not that I gave a shit, because a 40 day lag time is WAY BETTER than every 23 or 28 days,
    but still....

Also, during the days it wasn't there, I was STARVING. I think ye ol' hormones were trying to get
me to eat to get my weight up to GET my stupid period.

    Just a theory.

Anyway, so, last Friday, the 30th, when it FINALLY HIT, I said F-it and went to Target
to buy Everything Chocolate That exists.

Twix, Resees, Hershey's miniatures, kit kats, jr. mints, chips ahoy cookies, various bags (5)
of pepperidge farm cookies (hey, they were on sale, sue me)... and let's see, what else, oh
yeah, chewy-chewy candy, mainly for the kids, but I did have some chewy sprees and a few
jolly rancher suckers. Which are great, cuz they're unfettered. No stupid jackass gum or tootsie
roll in the middle to mess up your lollipop enjoyment, just pure hard candy all the way through and
    they are BIG!

So, Friday, Saturday, Sunday AND MONDAY were complete days of debauchery. I justified it away by
thinking "well, you gave up booze three months ago, you've negated 600 calories of THAT a day, and you
haven't had a candy binge since your LAST period in 1892, and you've been keeping calories totally low
since starting SLD, so might as well throw a tazer shock into the mix for the body and give it a surplus of
nil nutrition and Stupid Shit for four days.

Pretty much ate 3K cals four days in a row and couldn't have cared less.

Kinda felt like shit, but, don't care, TASTED GREAT. Ahhh, and all that seratonin and dopamine being
released = instant coma. It was fantastic. Watched copious amounts of TV and basically did jack shit
    alllllllll weeeeeeekend lonnnnnng. Ahhhhhhh.

Anyway, weighed yesterday and was up to 124.6.

Surprising because, well, shoulda been 324.6, but whatever.

Back on the SLD wagon yesterday and will carry on until LadyTime decides
to show up again in 28 days or whenever.

Then I may just do a "refeed" (har, har, har) of REAL food instead of crap.

I got my fill of crap. Boy did I.

We'll see how long it takes to pee out all this extra water from all those
CARBS! CRAP CARBS! Taaaaaasty crap carbs... mmmm, twiiiiix....

Now the rest of you get in here stat, OR ELSE.

    Well fine, don't come back.

Crazy don't care 'bout sittin' here talkin' to herself in the third person.

    Water left quickly! 121.6 today.

    That's nuts.

Just goes to show that my set point really WAS super duper lowered from 130 to
    120.

So freaking awesome I could weep.

I think several are traipsing about Europe as we speak. They shall no doubt return! Don't know if you remember but t I started upping my protein at the urging of my trainer and had to cut out my oil shots in order to keep kcals in line. So no demerits for me, LOL. In October I will get a repeat electrical impedance body scan and hope I will find that my muscle % has gone up. I am praying that I don't gain weight from extra muscle but instead exchange it for some fluff.
    Starting Weight: 197.5
    Current Weight: 123
    Far healthier!

    I remember Janie!

    How is that going?

Are you feeling more/better energy and greater satiation?

Or is it too early to tell just yet......?

    Dear Beatrice,

I'm here. Not on the continent mind you but still here.

I have managed a fairly successful SLD while here. We're staying in a house so even did a big ole paleo cookup. Luckily the owner of the house is an ex-pat American and foodie so she has fabulous things to cook with all the way down to her truffled sea salt. Don't tell anyone, but I don't much like the food here. Bleck. Except the fish and chips wrapped in newspaper and sprinkled with malt vinegar.

Interesting theory about lady time. I wonder how SLD would affect it. You aren't going all anoretic on us are you? I will pinch your lip so fast your head will spin. Wait..it already spins.

I rode a horse named Beatrice yesterday at the school I attended here in the mid seventies. She was a bit of a crank mcnasty.

Off to London for a couple of days of big city fun and then headed for home.

    Packing

That's cool that you're in an actual house, OG.

Nope, I don't like the food there either.

I've been a few times (not my choice, but my father was there to attend a
radio broadcast equipment show as we were en route to Spain) and actually
the entire place isn't my fave.. and I'm 97% English. Sue me. Though, I -did-
really like Brighton.. still not the food though.

I don't think SLD (the drinking of oil) directly affected LadyTime, but the lowering
    of the setpoint may have.

Definitely NOT anorexic by any means. Ha! I think maybe the hormones are just having
a hard time with the 120+ weight instead of the 130. Acclimating perhaps.

We'll see how the next one plays out and how long it takes now that I've been consistently
around 120/123 for a couple months.

Who knows, could just be talking outta my arse and it's just OldLadyIsms catching up with me.

See, Beatrice doesn't like the food there either. Pack her up and bring her to the states. The sun
and nice weather will do her attitude a world of good.

    Have fun in London!

Yes the house and the flat in London saves me. However...I lived here for one year (English school food=ugh) and the one shining light was a joint called The Damn Yankee. Burgers, fries and shakes. Heaven to a skinny 18 yo girl. It's still here!!! I was so happy to find it still in existance. Over 40 years in business. Still in the family and they now have ribs too. :0)
