This primal thing is really spreading. Picked up this 'primal' labelled lamb at my local supermarket here in Fiji today. I was intrigued by the label so asked the guy packing the stuff. He said he didn't know much other than it was a new strategy to market cheap cuts of lamb. He explained it was healthy as it hadn't been fed nasty stuff. Anyway at ~$11/kg (say US$6) I walked out of there a very happy customer!
Interesting. Generally a "primal" in butchering is a large cut: a whole leg, a whole tenderloin, an entire rib section, that sort of thing.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"
