    Does low-carb cause headaches?

    Primal Fuel
This morning I kept my breakfast very low carb because we are having a dinner party later that involves red beans and rice. (My partner is from New Orleans.) And I've had a headache most of the morning. Is there a connection?

How long have you been doing the PB? If you haven't been doing it very long, this is probably low-carb flu.
Primal eating in a nutshell: If you are hungry, eat Primal food until you are satisfied (not stuffed). Then stop. Wait until you're hungry again. Repeat.

I'm hypoglycemic (failed a gtt). The only times I've ever had a headache was when my BS was powered up by crap and then plummetted. An example would be like ... ice cream with chocolate sauce on an empty stomach and then nothing more to eat for several hours. Normally, I would get weak, shaky and faint first. But the odd time, it'd be a headache.

Off the top of my head (pardon the pun) if you've had protein and fats for breakfast too, I wouldn't think your headache is carb related.

I'm thinking now that it's pollen related. I don't have classic allergies, but somebody else today told me she had a headache, and headaches are not usual for her either. The pollen load is amazing--mostly from oak trees. A green film all over everything.

I used to get unexplained headaches and nausea all the time. One of the things I like about the primal way is that both have disappeared!

I expect allergies to kick in any day now. The only downside to this early, glorious spring weather!
